AO.com is a rapidly growing online retailer that sells appliances across the UK and Europe.

Formerly Appliances Online, AO has grown exponentially since it was founded in 2000. As a dynamic, fast paced business, they needed a degree of scalability that was not possible with their existing server capability. With plans to expand across Europe, they needed the means to rapidly scale up their operations as the situation demanded and they needed guidance relating to rolling out technology internationally.

As a result, SCC designed and implemented a new, virtualized server environment, hosted at one of SCC’s award-winning data-centres, enabling AO.com to expand their business beyond their previous means, with the flexibility to scale back if the situation demanded it.
